An Astronaut Lands in Asheville

Chapter member meeting former NASA Astronaut Joan E. Higginbotham, during her visit to the Asheville Mineral Museum. Higginbotham has received numerous awards to include: NASA Exceptional Service Medal; Outstanding Woman of the Year Award; and Women of Color in Technology Career Achievement Award.
